Feed the Minds is an ecumenical Christian organisation, first established in 1964, that supports education in the world’s poorest regions.
Based in the United Kingdom, we work with partners throughout the developing world – our partners are located in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America.
Feed the Minds depends on the generosity of individual and institutional donors in the UK to fund our work. By giving to Feed the Minds, our donors make a significant difference in the lives of impoverished and under-resourced people.
Feed the Minds focuses on assistance for education, simply because we believe that this is the most effective way to empower people and invest in the sustainable future of whole communities.
We support adult literacy projects, as well as education around general health, HIV/AIDS, human rights, income-generation and community-building.
We particularly encourage the creation of local, culturally-appropriate education materials because we know that people learn best in their own languages and by hearing familiar stories. We also support innovative communications projects that use different media to promote education.
Feed the Minds wants to contribute towards peace and reconciliation in regions experiencing conflict and violence. We support initiatives to educate communities in conflict resolution, bridge divides between different faiths, and establish better connection between separate groups.
