Overseas Book Service

For more than 20 years we’ve supported theological colleges. We do this by sending them quality theological titles through our Overseas Books Service.

How it works

Churches in the Global South play a central part in promoting development. But many seminaries and Christian colleges struggle to obtain relevant theological texts.

For more than 20 years we’ve supported colleges across the ecumenical spectrum. We do this by sending them quality theological titles through our Overseas Books Service.

Individuals and churches donate theological books to us. Participating colleges select their preferred titles from our twice-yearly catalogues. And we send them up to 50 titles a year for free.

Thanks to our committed book donors and volunteers, we achieve a lot at little cost. In 2015/16, we sent 2,975 books to 119 colleges in 30 countries, benefiting thousands of lay and ordained ministers and their congregations.

“I can provide effective support to drug addicts because of the resources here. I can understand perspectives from other cultures as a result of the new books.”

– Angelo James Paleracio, a student at Asian Theological Seminary, one of hundreds of colleges that supported through our Overseas Books Service.
